Qingshui Cliff is one of Taiwan Eight Wonders and is well-known for the colorful ocean blue on the Pacific Ocean.

It looks charming on those blues! It will show different colors as weather change and ocean current is one of many causes, too.

But it was frightening to see BIG waves from the ocean right before typhoon.
The Second Largest Sea Cliff
Qingshui Cliff looks more beautiful and amazing by taking a bird’s eye view from high in the sky above and is located on the Hualien, east Taiwan. It is the second largest sea cliff in the world and its vertical cliff is measured at approximately 2,400 meters (7874 feet) in height. Do you see near cliff bottom where the colorful sea is right there?
You will be amazed by the many waterfalls spreading across the mountains after typhoon.
Taroko National Park
Most people who come to Hualien only visit famous Taroko Gorge and skip Qingshui Cliff that actually is one of three highlights in the Taroko National Park.

How to get here?
First, you should know where TAIWAN is and then go toward east coastline of TAIWAN. The destination is the largest city of east TAIWAN, Hualien.

But you will be disappointed by no shuttle bus to get to Qingshui Cliff. The only way you can do is take train to Chongde Train Station, then go north along the high way. This method isn’t recommended due to the risk on walking along the narrow high way with busy traffic. Sign up the local tours may be one of good options.
Things to do in Qingshui Cliff
Night star watching:
It is suitable to do the night star watching during June and September in the summer time, especially for milky way and meteors. It is super romantic for the couples to do stargazing.
There are some trails where you can lie down to admire the beauty of Pacific Ocean and enjoy your own space and time of relaxation. Those places are the secret spots for locals, and we won’t go public to prevent eager visitors from flocking to the last pristine land in Qingshui Cliff
Kayaking with sunrise catching becomes a popular activity recently, but it is available only during June and September due to weather limit.
